Production Process

The production process of weathering steel mainly includes the following steps:
(1) Pretreatment of molten iron: Improve the purity of molten iron by removing impurities and harmful elements from the molten iron.
(2) Adding scrap steel: Add scrap steel to the molten iron to reduce costs and adjust the chemical composition.
(3) Melting: Melting molten iron and scrap steel together to form molten steel.
(4) Composition adjustment: The chemical composition of molten steel is adjusted by adding alloy elements to meet the special performance requirements of weathering steel.
(5) Continuous casting: Pour molten steel into the continuous casting machine to form a steel billet.
(6) Rolling: The steel billet is rolled multiple times to form the required steel shape and size.
(7) Heat treatment: Through the process of heating and cooling, the internal microstructure of the steel is changed to achieve the required strength and toughness.
